an April drift (the yellow flower field).

Sun
sheets,

drying under
the feverous

breasts
of a silk white

sky,
exhale

back and forth
their ripe

lemon
tide,
pierced

and torn
at the side
by
rumours
of
grass

and weed
–clad

in their impetuous

green,
and April

drifts
in the yellow

flower field.
